Fecund growth lifts the dross of the soul;
creeping green braving drafts of the cold.
Winters reign bound to fade at seasons pass;
tainted flesh, scent of rot in the air.
Ranks gathered, bound for the evenings mass- minds lent to the ritual.
Chants spoken low in the fading light,
dark powers awoken.
Behold the forbidden font of knowledge most unclean;
a writhing mass of twisted flesh.
Consumed in frenzied lust evoked in word and deed,
a menagerie of wicked worship.
Idols lit by the light of the stars,
in carnal offerings their cruel remit.
A sacrifice of life and limb,
its gift of pulsing blood beneath the skin.
My fate- that of the conquered one, soul lost to the equinox.
Devoured, fodder for eldritch gods, the awakening of Samhain.
Soon approaching the midnight hour- sanctified as the spirits rise.
Opened doors for infernal powers- pacts fulfilled in the wrathful tide.
The malediction complete; the banishing of the pentagram.
